Hi again. If you can reproduce this from a saved game then this might be a good time to use the reporting tool.

Ok, fighters are small targets and can not be hit with heavy lazers. They work best in groups of 2 or more squadrons. As your technology increases it becomes harder to hit them. That depends on how you look at it. There are certain torpedoes which only take 2 spaces at level 1. Now the average missile costs 5 spaces at level 1 so that should give you an idea.

Fighters do make great decoys but can tear small ships apart and help rip holes in shields of larger ships. They can be used as both decoys and fire support. As far as them being underpowered I disagree because if used right they can be most helpful.

What is this Role mean, anyway? :)
As I understand it the role determines possible actions that the ship can take. For example, only invader roles can drop troops, only colony ships can colonize planets(someone correct me if I am wrong)

Ah, yes. Now I understand what you were meaning. The planet types are not centered underneath the planet names.

Ah yes, I completely understand what you are saying on this. The planetary list just lists how many structures of each type you have on the planet but doesn't tell you how many turns to complete production. Perhaps the dev will consider placing this in a popup on the queue .
