Re: Feedback (long post)
Still my 2 credits worth - I believe firmly that the more options you give players in the games initial setup, the greater the replay value of the game. Hi OzHawkeye, I fully agree with you that more setup options will add to the replay value. I also think being able to start a game at different te...

Re: Occupation and Terraforming
I have a rather different suggestion for enabling terraforming. Take Venus as an example of a world too hot to colonize. You would need to build a platform in space to deflect a large portion of solar radiation. Therefore, stage one would be to build the space deflector, which over time would reduce...

Re: Feedback (long post)
Terraforming: We're in the process of improving Terraforming see this thread for more info. For the rest of your feedback, I can't help but agree with most of your suggestion as they all look to improve things in my view as well. We will try to get as many as possible done before the launch (which ...

Re: Could we have a "profile manager" for the game, please?
Yes, especially under beta conditions where testing features and gameplay issues are more important than would be the case in the finished game, it would allow reference to different strategies.

Re: Feature Suggestions
I think a space station designer would be good fun. In fact, I would also like to see a planet defence designer where you could deploy any of your available weapon technologies.

Could we have a "profile manager" for the game, please?
Could we have a "profile manager" on the startup screen, please?
It would be really useful to have a "profile manager" to be able to play several different games at the same time under different profile names.

Re: L30, you have a genius among your ranks.
My favorite space empire game of all time was Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain, and Horizon reminds me a bit of it, but Horizon looks better and grander. I had a lot of fun with Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain as well (although it didn't get wonderful reviews at the time). I really liked the way they did re...

Re: Feature Suggestions
When it comes to the maximum buildings feature, which is cool and all, is abit wrong, I mean, I have my homeworld, Earth, with a limit of 12 buildings, but a world virtually 6x bigger with a limit of 9 buildings?? doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that the maximum building allowance be based sole...

Re: Horizon Beta - gameplay issues
I've been thinking about the fighter superiority problem today and would like to suggest a simple way to negate this. Instead of fighters being all powerful at the start, they should be quite slow and weak. Then there could be a complete research tree dedicated to improving fighters. This would add ...

Yes, I've had the same problem, but as this is my first game I have tended to ignore it - although I agree it is annoying.

Re: Horizon Beta - gameplay issues
I had an enemy mothership down to 45 crew members before the combat round was over. Next turn, their ship resupplied back to 400 crew whilst my TF didn't get resupplied ... Here is where I cry foul!!! I feel that supply shouldn't be a 100% chance especially since I considered the sector as being in...

Re: Strategic Combat Control UI (cool idea?)
Your idea sounds good, but each battle area (sector) would need to have their rounds separated. Currently, if auto is used on the first sector, it will be forwarded the same number of rounds in other sectors. This can be catastophic if you want to release fighters in the other sectors as fighters wo...

Horizon Beta - gameplay issues
Hi, I'm Kingsley and I have been playing the Horizon Beta (in classic mode) since last week. My first impressions are that I really like the feel of the game and that it is very stable. I also think the cut scenes add atmosphere that some other 4x games fail to create. I was able to pick the game up...
