Re: 6 July 2013 - Alpha v0.0.2.31
Maybe you could implement something like what Civ 5 has, a colour coded sphere of influence....that is easy to see and it spans the full territory of the empire, that way, we know where not to go to avoid the AI having a hissy fit. Yes : I totally support this -- we need a colour-coded sphere of in...

Re: 6 July 2013 - Alpha v0.0.2.31
[...] I think there should be an option for non-mission based classic games to have all races start with the same tech, same single homeworld as the player, only further away, so some expanding and more advanced tech is required to make contact. Is that not an option that we already have, when we s...

Borderless Window flag added (Add to horizon.ini (in My documents/horizongame/) -> Preference_BorderlessWindowed=TRUE Thank you very much for adding that option. I prefer to play my games inside big windows on my 26-inch monitor, which has a native rez of 1920x1200. Removing the window's borders ma...

Re: ecomomy is automatic depression
[...T]he first thing I do upgrade is the industry, it speeds everything else up and boosts some revenue as well. Excellent tip. I realized that when I wanted to upgrade my Research facilities (since Research for most items was projected as taking far too long). When I saw it would take 36 turns to ...

Re: MOO2 Updated!!!
I have to disagree with you on the part of many successors to MoO2, there have been many 4X games like it, but none have ever been good enough to be the next MoO2 successor. You have a right to disagree with me ... but to categorically declare that "none" of the Space-Empire-building game...

Re: Release the Aplha as a demo
I've not bought into the early access game yet, but I'm very tempted. You are "very tempted" but you want a freebie ? Are you so poor than you cannot afford a measly $ 20 for an early-access alpha ? If you are so "tempted" why don't you support an indie developer with a measly $...

Re: Frozen Fallout's First Impressions
PS: I also was wondering if anyone has considered changing up how much time goes by after a turn. 1 year just seems way to much. Would it at all be possible for it to be changed to .1 year per turn? PPS: I really hope your going to open this up to the Modding Community? This game would do well to h...

Re: Survey tedious
I thought the same thing till I read the manual. Thanks for reminding me to read the manual. I was so eager to play that I skipped that less-fun step. Good to know that the manual reveals useful information which goes beyond what one can learn during the tutorial missions and some improvised free-p...

Re: AI, nothing more
While I won't say AI is absolutely the most important factor -- I personally find atmosphere/immersion to be more critical to a game's overall enjoyment (including strategy games) -- I definitely agree it should have high priority. Of course, any strategy game which puts emphasis on the single-play...

Re: Day 1 of my Horizon Experience
[... T]his by far is an AMAZING early release, I litterly bought it minutes after it went up, and it is so worth it! Thanks for yet another great game. I totally (and literally) agree with this very enthusiastic post. (I, also, snatched it on Steam a few minutes after its unlocking, on 2 July.) It ...

Re: MOO2 Updated!!!
Looks like a nice successor to MOO2 You can see it that way ... but MOO2 was released 18 years ago, and since then, there have been many successors to that classic game -- the most recent ones being Sword of the Stars 2 and especially Endless (excluding Star Drive because of its heavy emphasis on R...
