Possibility to "expand" fleet/ship list?

Current implementation with 8 fleets/ships in row shown looks quite working... until later in game, when I can have 10-12 fleets in one system, not counting enemy ships. At this stage I simply cannot distinct one from the another to give proper orders. (Hmm, and this is the theme of the next suggestion ).

But it would be not so bad if I could at least see all of them simultaneously. I see the wisdom in solution "one row for the fleet, second - for the ships". But can it be scaled to "any amount of rows for the fleets, and ships below that"? To the reasonable numbers, like, 4-5 rows at max, and scrolling only after that? With checkbox somewhere "Activate extended fleet list" for switching between the "large" and the current implementation? It would make fleet management much simpler in the some cases.
