Which Race Number are Humans?

Are Humans Race00? Where is each Race's name shown? I'm trying to change the Ship Classes names for Humans from Scout, Transport, Cruiser, Mothership to Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship.

Humans are Race04.

Barbeck: 0 - Barsig: 1 - Gargal: 2 - Harkan: 3 - Human: 4 - Kamzak: 5 - Kor'tahz: 6 - Kuntari: 7 - Lezgoon: 8 - Tantik: 9 - Varaian: 10

For changing the default Ship Class Names you will be making a copy of ship_design_names.xml and change it in your mod folder.

Race names are in one of the two files created when you customize a race. It ends with _lang.xml

Is the Logistics bonus from Logistics Tech moddable? The amount of Logistics points is a bit stingy for my tastes. I'd like to bump them up just a bit.

Yes you can change all techs.

Make a copy of tech_stats.xml under the gamedata folder. Search for logistics (there are several entries, the stats are at the end).

There is also a game option to disable "Logistics - command points" to play without it.
