Hi -- new player and impressed so far with Horizon but I have a question.
I am having trouble getting into the Tactical Combat mode. Many times I get into the Tactical Preview mode but cannot easily transition from there into tactical combat mode.
Could someone give me a step by step on how to do this?
I am doing something like this now:
1) Give command to ship to orbit Pluto
2) wait until that occurs
3) click engage sector (or something like that) -- I get the dense white matrix of sectors
4) click on the sector where Pluto is
5) I get into this Tactical Preview screen when I can see my ship, and enemy ship but any place I click I go back to Galaxy screen.

Word of the day -- If you have design choice between how Moo2 did it and some other way, think long and hard before abandoning the Moo2 way.

If you press the "Turn" button after clicking Engage Sector, that should allow you to enter tactical mode. Let us know how it goes. All feedback is welcome! Cheers!

Yep -- that solved it. Thanks Zaimat.
I must say I really enjoy the clean look of the UI, especially the font and color aesthetics.
I should be able to spend a quite a bit of time this weekend playing the game and hopefully give some feedback after that.
PS: any easy way to grab the game cursor??

I just mean the .cur file or equivalent -- I wanted to use that cursor on Windows.

I've seen others mention about many events that start occurring after each turn (in later part of game) and how difficult to remember to do the appropriate thing after certain events have happened.
I would propose that there be a way to click events on the new turn events pop-up and have them moved into a "to-do list" (it can be given a proper sci-fi-ish name). This list could be opened at any time and items could be clicked on (taking you to the appropriate area for dealing with the event). Items could be manually removed from the list when ever desired.
