Not sure if this is suppose to be what happens or its just a delay in the turn.
But I put some Nuke missles on 1 of my Scouts for the tutorial mission to destroy pirate..
When you fire the missiles at the pirate it lingers over the enemy ship for a few turns and you can't attack the ship in any of those turns because the missile is covering up the vessel? Eventually the missile hits and the pirate dies.
So im wondering is this because of a bug with 2 objects in same space? Or does the Combat system already know that the enemy pirate is dead and is just waiting for the turns to catch up??
I actually have a video of this in episode 2 of my lets play.. But its not uploaded yet.. I will link it in this tread with time stamp when it uploads and is ready.
Updated ok here is video like with time stamp to where it happens.
Can't attack when missles are inbound?

Well, projectiles like missiles and torpedoes are a over time, which is why I avoid them, they are not instant enough for me.

That makes sense and all.. But they should not stop you from attacking the next round.. Its like the game is waiting to update what they will do... And for now you can't attack unitl 1 or 2 combat turns pass.

Probably a bug, check it again when this new patch goes live.
Re: Can't attack when missles are inbound?
Malkuth, it looks like you found an issue with overlapping. The missile being on top of the ship (and the ship being a small one) prevented you from being able to target the pirate ship with other weapons until the missile impacted. Thanks for reporting it.
Missiles have travel time so they don't impact for at least 1 round (depends on the travel distance).
Nice video, very helpful to watch. FYI: When you give an order to survey a system you may want to wait for it to complete the whole system survey otherwise you are basically doing a move instead of a survey.
