People experiencing video issues

I have to report some bugs:
- Around mid game cut scenes for new worlds colonized, technology break throughs and news reports don't work. I hear the music but the screen just goes black
- One time upon clicking "new game" the whole thing crashed

I can confirm this bug but happens earlier for me.

Anyone else who has experienced this, can you please reply in this thread with a 'me too' etc.

If you don't mind, please send us an error report from the launcher (and please clearly indicate the issue so we can trace to this thread).

With today's patch (version 4.49) there is a launcher advanced setting to set the videos to 720p instead of 1080p. We would like to know if this fixes the issue for you?

set to 720p and enabled vsync. Videos working for me now.
